I should have written this post nine months ago after I first read Clockwork Princess, and not been so afraid of the fandom—the main reason why I haven’t stated my opinion publicly thus far—but after seeing a recent surge of Jem-hate on the tags, I decided it was time to finally stand up. I’m even willing to take the risk that I’ll get hate for this, because I feel that Jem is worth it.
